Hi, my name is Maria Elisa Chifari.

I was born in Turin, Italy. I graduated from the Economic and Social High School at the Maria Ausiliatrice Institute of Turin. I am currently a final year student of Communication Design at the Institute of Applied Art and Design (IAAD) of Turin. My passion in graphic design started in the last two years and I began studying its origins and its authors. Today, in my works you can find Colour and Shape, two characteristics that in my opinion are the basis of a simple but effective work. Fluorescent colours are difficult to use but, if used in the right way, I believe they can light up our cities, screens and books. Simple shapes, on the other hand, are born as such but can become complex and fascinating if they are freed from the didactic categories in which they are often stuck. Certainly, design in people’s lives goes through multiple phases. Every year you learn something new and the approach can change. I believe finding your own style is important, but I also believe that being curious, trying something different and far from your usual path, can help you develop not only in your professionalism but also in your identity, which needs constant stimuli to grow.
